Kit for building the English Wheel For years, professional metalcrafters have favored the wheeling machine for putting compound curves in sheetmetal. They are nearly indispensable for many restoration and custom projects. This machine is affordable for many home builders, yet rugged enough for professional use. It has a 44" throat, and comes complete with 6 anvil wheels and a quick-release lever to make wheel changes quick and easy. You supply the tubing for the frame and weld it together; all other components are included. The frame is made from 3" x 4" x 1/4" wall tubing with 2" x 3" tubing bracing. The top wheel is 8" diameter, beautifully machined from a 1045 steel billet. The bottom (anvil) wheels are made from 1045 steel, and are machined to 2 3/8", 3 1/4", 5", 8 1/2", and 12" radii, plus one flat wheel. All wheels are 3" wide. Capacity - 16 ga.steel, 14 ga. aluminum. Individual parts are available. Benchtop English Wheel This machine is good for smaller panels, and provides an excellent way to learn the techniques of wheeling without making a major investment in equipment. The top wheel is beautifully machined from a 1045 steel billet, 8 inches in diameter and 2" wide, and it has a 22" throat depth. It is sold completely assembled and painted, ready to use, and ships by UPS in one box. One anvil wheel supplied, and 3 optional wheels are available with different radii. Anvil wheels are 2" wide, made from 1045 steel. Capacity is 18 ga. steel, 14 ga. aluminum.
